Our bedrooms are very comfortable and well appointed with traditional furnishings, much of the fabrics used are from our local silk weaving mill in the nearby town of Sudbury.

Each room has a large double bed with en-suite facilities. They also have a relaxing seating area in which to enjoy a welcome cup of tea or coffee with local made biscuits. A good area to read and plan your itinerary.

Our rooms also include a 22” LCD television with a built in DVD player and freeview. We have a large library of DVDs for guest use.

The Damask Room

This light and airy bedroom is attractively furnished using soft cream silk fabrics with a beautiful cream tasselled Canopied bed with onyx and gilt bedside lamps.

It is furnished with an antique mirror, a bow fronted chest of drawers, an oak coffer and Victorian style rattan armchairs.

It is also hung with lovely relaxing watercolour paintings. Victorian antiques complete the regal ambience.

The Chenille Room

This luxurious bedroom is furnished with burgundy and gold chenille velvet window drapes and gold corded pelmet. The bed is covered with burgundy silk below a decorative gilded mirror.

Matching bedside lamps, a Victorian dresser, a bow fronted chest of drawers, two comfortable gold & burgundy covered chairs and a chaise longue complete the regal ambience.

Car Parking

Highfield House is accessed through the main gateway on the Bury Road, where a most impressive carriage drive runs past the front terrace and sweeps round the wooded island to the ample, secure parking area in the front of the house. The house is only a short walk from Lavenham High Street and the Market Place and our excellent restaurants.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the lovely tranquil gardens, which have been planted with many specimen trees and shrubs.
